Key Challenge : Changde Railway Station, with its new station building fully opened on January 26, 2024, is a key component of Hunan Province's high-speed rail loop. With a station building area of approximately 59,977 square metres — five times the size of the old station — and a platform scale of 9 platforms and 20 tracks (5 high-speed rail platforms and 11 tracks, 4 conventional rail platforms and 9 tracks), the station serves as a major transportation hub for northwestern Hunan. The station features a modern "upper entry, lower exit" elevated and side-platform waiting model.
