Key Challenge : Wanda Cinema Line, China's largest cinema chain, identified that seat comfort and ergonomics directly determine audience perception of the cinema experience. With growing competition from premium cinema formats, Wanda needed to upgrade its seating across multiple locations to enhance audience comfort and differentiate its brand. The challenge was to design a new seat system that would not only provide superior comfort but also integrate modern amenities — all while maintaining cost-effectiveness for large-scale rollout across hundreds of screens nationwide.
Solution : FLYA furniture collaborated with Wanda Cinema Line to develop and supply the new cinema seat. Key features include :
1. Ergonomic design — Fully contoured to the human body for extended comfort during feature-length films
2. Extended row spacing — Row spacing widened to over 1.5 metres, providing ample legroom
